Sigh, Sunday

By Frank

I have nothing eloquent to say… So entertain yourselves with photos from a friend’s garden and home…

Cyclamen (Cyclamens?)

A lovely parrot tulip.  You can see in the background, on the left, a couple dancing.  They represent our friends and this is part of a 30 foot mural that was at their wedding.

This is what I’ve been working on today (well, other than the mountain of laundry). It’s going to be a Clapotis for our friend we’re visiting in Bangkok. I’m in love with this yarn…

    Sure it’s not a thong?

    wow, amazing shots from the garden. what is that flower, fourth photo down, right below the buddha shot?

  3. Frank Says:

    Well, just to be sure, Cindy, I tried it on. Nope, definitely not a thong… ;)

    Chris, it’s a Passion Fruit flower. Isn’t it amazing? Unfortunately the vines on which these flowers grow are vicious, overtake anything, and are hellacious to get rid of once their established. But they’ve got gorgeous flowers.

    Beautiful flowers and great pics! That light purple flower that you don’t know the name of is gorgeous. LOVE the bamboo yarn too!

    *sigh* Those flowers are lovely. You take excellent photos.

    Yes, those are sea urchins. I used to have one just like it when I was a kid, but I took it to school for show and tell and some stupid girl crushed it. I’ve hated her to this day!

    Those flowers are gorgeous. I’m gonna have to take some pix (not nearly as artistic of yours, of course) so you can ID the ones I always see by have NO FRIGGIN IDEA what they are called. It really bugs me.

    But I guess this can wait until you’re back from BanKOK. {{snicker}}

    Beautiful pics! The perty blue flower is a Blue Hibiscus (Alyogyne huegelii) which is not actually a Hibiscus.
