Hubby and I were sitting on the steps in the kitchen talking as Oliver was running between his toys (in the living room next to the sofa) and us.
Neither of us noticed how quiet it got because we were running our yaps, I guess. Then Hubby disappeared (I was baking birthday cupcakes).
Shortly thereafter Hubby comes into the kitchen with a Little Monster in his arms and states, “He was out on the front porch!” I wasn’t entirely sure how he did it, given the closed and locked front door.
But the video explains it all!
Note to self: put bars on all windows before he becomes a teenager!

Isn’t it scary how crafty they are? Just when you think you have the whole house child-proofed…they find that one loop hole you missed. And they ALWAYS find it.

I’m always amazed at the deductive reasoning they go through. “No, that’s not gonna work. Let’s see, if I pull this leg through first…yes, then I can the other one through. aaaand, I’m out.”
I feel for you, though.

Sly little devil!

We found Emmett out on our front lawn one morning, not ONE second after I had seen him in the living room. That day’s activity? Installing extra hook and eye locks!!!!!

It’ll all be fine once you have developed the eyes in the back of your head that can see through walls!

Oh MY! You’re in big trouble with that little one! He’s just so dang cute – it’s hard to get mad, but OH MY…. you better get ready to bolt and lock every door, window, or hatch! LOL

Oh my god what a smart little bugger!

Trouble!!

I love this…the way he scoots back and then tried again. Ahhh the determination of a toddler. Might not want to mention this at the Dr this morning.

Oh my Gosh!! That is sooo funny, what a little bugger! I think he’s trying to keep you on your toes 24/7. Wyatt crawled and kind of fell out a window when he took the screen off at about 15 months, so as a result the air was on and the windows closed for a while, it only takes 2 minutes when they are determined!

“Ta Daaaaaaa!’
He looks so proud of his accomplishment. Were you able to scold him?
June 29, 2009 at 12:04 pm
And don’t leave the keys in the car!
June 29, 2009 at 3:50 pm
Already sneaking out the window…you are in big trouble!!

oh my gawd. That Oliver.
He is still so edible.
And he’s very crafty.
very crafty
June 30, 2009 at 9:05 am
But not crafty in the good “knit & crochet” kind of way!

Have met Oliver, he is one resourceful little fellow! I’m thinking you need one of those golf course enclosures around the whole house.
Bars won’t stop that little fellow, he will continue to try different methods until he succeeds.

See y’all! I have confirmation that I’m not imagining all this!
